Artist Residency Coming Soon

Bayview is embarking on an exciting chapter with the launch of a unique Artist Residency program embedded in the community.

The Artist Residency program will ensure that youth, adults, and seniors living at Bayview and in the Triangle neighborhood have easy access to high-quality art opportunities that encourage creative expression, skill building, and community pride. Local artists will be hired to teach and make art alongside community members for long-term, on-site residencies.

To raise the $100,000 needed annually for the program, Bayview created the La Mariposa Print Series.

Hope Finds a Home

Dedicated on October 5, 2023, Hope Finds a Home was created by the artist team of Amy Zaremba, Alicia Rheal and Sharon Tang, with design concepts and painting contributed by over 120 residents.

Triangle Ethnic Fest, 1985-2014

The Triangle Ethnic Fest took place on the third Sunday in August for 35 years. The last Triangle Ethnic Fest was hosted on August 14, 2014.

To raise the $100,000 needed annually for the Artist Residency program, Bayview created the La Mariposa Print Series. Each year, Bayview will commission a local artist to create an original artwork inspired by Bayview’s values and residents.

La Mariposa Print Series #1, Tending to Community, is a five-layer reductive woodblock print by treasured Madison artist Lesley Numbers. The artwork uplifts the importance of belonging through nature, home, and community.
