Bayview is the colorful affordable housing community near downtown Madison at the corner of West Washington Ave and Regent Street. We offer HUD subsidized, income restricted, and market rate apartments and townhouses. Bayview’s housing has been around since 1971, but all current units were newly constructed between 2022-2024 and include modern amenities.
Housing availability is often very limited. Our dedicated housing team is here to help you learn more and answer any questions you may have.
Please review the income guidelines below. If there are any vacancies, applications will be available as a downloadable PDF. Most web browsers display PDFs, or you can downloaded Adobe Reader for free. Applications are also available at the Bayview community center. At this time we do not accept applications online or by email.
Applications must be submitted in person. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received by the front desk.
Income Restricted/Workforce Housing
One and three bedroom units only.
Annual combined income cannot exceed:
- 1-person household: $56,880
- 2-person household: $64,980
- 3-person household: $73,080
- 4-person household: $81,180
- 5-person household: $87,720
- 6-person household: $94,200
Availability
- A 3-bedroom, 2-bath unit will be available on October 15, 2026, for $2127/month with a maximum of 6 occupants. 12-month lease.
- A 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit will be available in November for $1334/month with a maximum of 2 occupants. 12-month lease.
- A 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit will be available in December for $1334/month with a maximum of 2 occupants. 12-month lease.
Market Rate
One and three bedroom units only.
No income restrictions. Monthly rents based on current market conditions.

Household Size Guidelines
- One bedroom unit: 1 person minimum and 2 person maximum
- Two bedroom unit: 2 person minimum and 4 person maximum
- Three bedroom unit: 3 person minimum and 6 person maximum
