a community center that changes lives

Bayview has reached its campaign goal to complete a new community center in the heart of one of Madison's most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods!

The new community center, designed to last 100 years, will meet the needs of the Triangle's growing population which is expected to more than quadruple over the next ten years. The new community center is already a beloved resource that will embrace, educate, support and strengthen children, adults and families in need. The new center will help us:

  • Double the number of children and teens participating in academic support, recreation, wellness, and employment programs.

  • Increase adult participation in wealth building, parent programs, and language literacy.

  • Provide frontline mental health and wellness programming and resources for all ages.

  • Offer regular play and learn programming for children ages birth to five.

  • Triple the impact of food distribution by creating a dedicated, properly equipped food pantry.

  • Double older adult participation in daily opportunities for connection, self-expression, fitness and healthy meals.

  • Give neighbors access to creative arts programming that promote voice, imagination, and social cohesion.

"Bayview means everything to me. It's a safe haven for my kids and myself. It's a valuable place to connect with people. People actually give you hope around here. I embraced it. This is my new life and it turned out to be everything that I wanted."

-Gabrielle Ward,
Bayview resident and member of Bayview Leaders
